Friday Bulletin – Friday 22nd April 2016
Kells Lane Primary School was an exciting place to be this week. We have had Viking invasions from Year 3, Year 4 learned about the medicinal properties of herbs and spices on a visit to Angeethi and Chris Connaughton was back in school exploring the life and times of Charles Dickens with Year 5.
We are committed to fostering an environment where we are all reflective, inquisitive, confident and respectful of the needs of others. I have had the privilege of observing in every classroom this week. Your children are working very hard; I have been particularly impressed by their ability to rise to some very challenging learning activities. Kells Lane staff have embraced a culture of sharing best practice. They continue to observe and learn from each other; professional dialogue is ongoing in our school. I would like to take this opportunity to thank staff and children alike for their relentless effort and hard work.
Next week you will receive your ballot paper for our parent governor election. Do please take the time to register your vote by returning the ballot paper in a sealed envelope to the school office by 10am on Friday 6 May 2016 at the latest.
Best wishes for a good weekend.
Mrs A Whistler
