Dear Parents and Carers,
It’s that time of year again when I write to update you on staffing arrangements for the coming academic year. Your child will be meeting their new teacher next Monday and Tuesday afternoon and families are invited to our annual transition event on Saturday 1st July from 10am to midday. This is an excellent opportunity to meet the staff and find out more about next year’s curriculum and special visits.
Mr McIntosh is off to pastures new to take up a teaching post in County Durham. I am sure you will join me in thanking him for all he has contributed to school life and wish him every success in the next exciting chapter of his career.
Mrs Jameson and Mrs Robson have both decided to retire at the end of July after many years of service to Kells Lane. On behalf of governors, staff and our Kells Lane families, I would like to thank them both for their exceptional commitment to the school and wish them every happiness for the future.
From September we welcome Miss Bailie back to our teaching team. She worked at Kells Lane on a temporary basis just over a year ago and I am delighted to have been able to appoint her more permanently. Mrs Long will take over Mrs Robson’s role in the admin team.
Our teaching team from September is as follows:
Early Years – Mrs Swinbank and Mrs Millar
Year 1 – Miss Bustard and Miss Bailie
Year 2 – Mrs Lee and Miss Wilson
Year 3 – Mrs Craig/Miss Blackwell and Mrs Warwick/Mrs Giblin
Year 4 – Mr Colligan and Mrs Thompson
Year 5 – Miss Nagle and Miss Anderson
Year 6 – Mrs Anderson Harrison and Mrs King
I look forward to seeing you at our transition event in July.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs A Whistler
Headteacher
