Letter sent out on 11 March 2016
I am writing to update you on the situation with our school dining hall and kitchen facilities.
Initial findings from the monitoring of the building have stated that further investigation is necessary before any potential repair work can be carried out. Unfortunately, this means the dining hall building will have to remain closed until the Easter holidays.
Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused and be assured I am working with others to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
We will continue to offer a limited hot food menu to be served in the main school building next week.
• Early Years, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils will be provided with a free hot meal or choice of sandwich
• All pupils entitled to free school meals will also be provided with a free school lunch
• Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils can choose to order a hot school lunch or sandwich, or may continue to bring a packed lunch from home if preferred
• IMPORTANT NOTE: If your child requires a vegetarian meal or has any other dietary requirements you should telephone Mrs Heath on 01914334143 (or email on email@example.com) to advise us what is required so that we can ensure they are catered for (if you have already done this you do not need to call again). If you have not notified Mrs Heath then we cannot guarantee a suitable meal will be provided.
Once again I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and patience.
Mrs A Whistler
