Design and Technology

During these lessons the children will gain experience by using a range of technology kits. These include those with gears, pulleys and motors, not forgetting the early model-making skills which use 'found materials' (i.e. cardboard and polystyrene), making their own plans, following other plans and finding their own solutions to given problems. Some of this work is covered by a cross-curricular approach, at other times it is taught as a separate subject.
