From time to time we have problems with head lice. Although school no longer has a model letter, parents are advised to check their children’s hair frequently. If head lice or eggs are found, please contact your local chemist where effective treatment can be given. It is recommended to treat the whole family and we have found it most helpful for parents to contact the class teacher or school secretary if it is an ongoing problem.

Occasionally we send a letter home to advise parents, where there have been frequent or continuous reports of head lice in a specific class.
