In addition to the sporting clubs offered to the pupils of Kells Lane Primary School, the children in Key Stage 2 have been offered the following outdoor or adventurous residential visit:

The five day residential visit to Winmarleigh Hall field study centre, for Year 5 pupils,  includes orienteering, use of extensive ICT facilities, design technology and numerous outdoor activities. Accompanying staff in 2011: Miss Heath, Mrs Hutchinson, Mrs Lee and Mr Sweeney.

Residential visit for four days in the London area for Year 6 pupils includes visiting Downing Street, an evening theatre visit, Thames river cruise, London Eye, The Houses of Parliament, Natural History and Science Museums. Normally during Whitweek holiday week depending upon numbers. Accompanying staff in 2011 were: Chris Hewitson, Miss Heath, Mr and Mrs Hewitson, Mrs Hutchinson,  Mr and Mrs Sweeney.
